PA P3 Rapid Bridge Replacement Project

McKean County, P.A.

The first Folded Steel Plate Girder System bridge in Pennsylvania was erected as part of the Walsh/Granite P3 Bundled Bridge Project for PennDOT. The bridge, known as JV 70, was erected in McKean County near Bradford in less than three hours as part of an accelerated bridge construction program that shaved as many as two weeks off delivery time.

Two more Folded Steel Plate Girder System bridges have been erected in 2016 and three others were erected in 2017. One final bridge is scheduled for 2018.
